Position Summary

The Warehouse Specialist manages Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory functions in alignment with my client's Assurance Program. This role supports engineering, procurement, and QA by ensuring accurate material control, clear traceability, and an organized warehouse environment that improves workflow and reduces cost and waste.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving (Quality-Critical)

Perform all shipping and receiving activities in accordance with controlled procedures and QA requirements.

Verify incoming materials, components, and customer equipment for the correct part numbers, quantities, condition, PO match, and required documentation.

Log all incoming items with full traceability and apply proper receiving labels.

Segregate and document nonconforming items in accordance with the Nonconformance process.

Prepare outbound shipments with accurate paperwork (packing lists, test reports).

Confirm correct part numbers, serial numbers, and quantities before shipment.

Package items using appropriate practices, including protection for sensitive components.

Record outbound shipments with carrier information and tracking details.

Inventory Management

The company is refreshing its inventory system. The Warehouse Specialist will help implement and maintain this improved structure.

Initial Inventory Refresh

Remove all materials from the shelves for a complete evaluation with engineering.

Determine which items can be reused, repurposed, or discarded.

Organize items into clearly defined storage categories.

Ongoing Inventory Responsibilities

Maintain a streamlined process for adding new items to inventory.

Track items taken for use with proper documentation and return/reorder requirements.

Monitor inventory levels and reorder when applicable.

Label all materials clearly to support identification and efficient workflow.

Track shelf life and remove expired materials.

Maintain clean, organized storage and staging areas to support audits and efficient operations.

Qualifications

Experience in warehouse, inventory, or shipping/receiving roles preferred.

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Ability to lift 40–50 lbs.

Basic computer skills.

Clear communication and reliability in a quality-driven environment.
