About the job Shop MIG Weld Foreman/Fabricator
My client is seeking a dependable and experienced MIG Weld Foreman/Fabricator. The position is full-time M-FR, 7 AM to 3 PM, weekends as needed.
The Shop Foreman is responsible for the safety, control, maintenance, and supervision of equipment, manpower, staffing, and scheduling of personnel, and the use of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision to shop fabricators and shop painters to achieve production goals.
- Monitors scheduling
- Interacts with Engineers and print reading
- Communicates with the fabricators to accurately produce equipment with the utmost quality while maintaining safety.
- Maintains shop equipment and orders supplies
- Fabricates machinery using MIG welding equipment
- Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Work with hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment.
- Performs work with high attention to detail.
- Follow and enforce company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 5+years supervisory experience
- 10+ years of experience in industrial machinery fabrication. With emphasis on layout and print reading.
- Must have or be able to pass the welding test AWS D14.1 (welding of industrial and mill cranes)
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Self-starter
