Deanna Nesbit & Associates is recruiting a Field Service Manager for an established client in Huber Heights, Ohio.

We're looking for a strong people leader and customer-focused service manager who knows how to keep a field team organized, supported, accountable, and taking great care of customers.

Technical material-handling experience is NOT required. Our client has a strong, experienced technical team in place. The right leader can learn the technical side of the business, including enough product knowledge to assist with customer quotes and repair estimates.

What You'll Do

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Field Service Technicians and Lead Technicians.

Coordinate technician schedules and help ensure customer commitments are met.

Build a culture of accountability, communication, safety, and customer service.

Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and visit customer locations as appropriate.

Work with technicians to understand customer needs and recommended repairs.

Learn the technical aspects of the business to assist with service quotes and estimates.

Recruit, interview, onboard, coach, and evaluate field service employees
Ensure technicians have the training and resources they need to be successful.

Review service work and approve invoicing prior to billing.

Support dispatch when needed.

Ensure company service vehicles are properly maintained and operated safely.

Help manage service contracts and key customer relationships.

Partner with branch leadership to continuously improve field service operations.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing employees

Experience managing a field service, skilled trades, mechanical, industrial, construction, transportation, equipment, or similar workforce is highly desirable

Strong scheduling, organization, and follow-through

Excellent customer-facing communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the people or the customer

Comfortable learning technical products and terminology

Ability to work effectively with experienced technicians and earn their trust

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Commitment to safety and quality

Good computer proficiency

Valid driver's license
