A respected and growing industrial services company is seeking a Crane Aftermarket Sales Specialist to manage an established territory in the Indianapolis market. This is an outstanding opportunity to inherit an existing customer base while expanding your territory through new business development.
You'll partner with manufacturers, distribution centers, warehouses, and industrial facilities to improve the safety, reliability, and performance of their overhead cranes, hoists, and material handling equipment.

What You'll Do
- Manage and grow an established book of business while developing new customer relationships throughout the Indianapolis territory.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities for additional products and services.
- Develop recurring revenue by selling preventive maintenance agreements, inspections, repair programs, modernization projects, and long-term service contracts.
- Review crane inspection reports and proactively recommend repairs, upgrades, and corrective actions.
- Prepare timely and accurate quotations for repairs, inspections, replacement parts, maintenance agreements, and equipment upgrades.
- Follow up on proposals to maximize close rates and customer satisfaction.
- Build trusted relationships by serving as a technical resource and consultant to your customers.
- Collaborate with service managers, technicians, engineering, parts, and operations teams to ensure projects are completed successfully.
- Promote additional industrial service offerings including engineered lifting solutions, rigging, fall protection, dock and door equipment, and related services.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve established sales and profitability goals.
- Document customer interactions, opportunities, quotations, and forecasts within the CRM system.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Represent the company professionally at customer facilities, trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
- Stay current on OSHA regulations, crane safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrate and promote safe work practices in industrial environments.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- Three or more years of successful B2B industrial sales experience.
- Experience selling one or more of the following is highly preferred:
- Overhead cranes
- Hoists
- Material handling equipment
- Industrial equipment
- Maintenance or field service contracts
- Heavy equipment
- Industrial machinery
- Capital equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand industrial equipment and maintenance solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, inspection reports, and equipment specifications.
- Comfortable working in manufacturing and industrial environments.
- Comfortable working at heights and using scissor lifts or ladders (up to approximately 30 feet) when inspecting equipment or gathering measurements.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory, with occasional travel up to approximately 200 miles in a day.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
