Position Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and improving electrical systems and components. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety in the design and implementation of electrical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and control panels

  • Create schematics, layouts, and documentation for new and existing products

  • Select appropriate materials and components based on specifications and standards

  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems

  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, technicians, and production staff to ensure seamless integration

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards

  • Assist in cost estimation, sourcing, and project timelines

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of processes and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in electrical design and systems integration (internships or co-op experience considered for entry-level roles)

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar CAD software

  • Working knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, and circuit design

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Self-starter comfortable working in a small team with multiple responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

  • Familiarity with UL standards and NEC

  • Hands-on experience with prototyping and lab testing
