About the job Commercial Electrical Foreman - Fire Alarm and Low-Voltage Systems
We are seeking a Commercial Electrical Foreman - Fire Alarm and Low-Voltage Systems to lead low-voltage installation projects. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for installing, managing, and ensuring the successful completion of fire alarm and low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced in commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Lead all aspects of the project from planning to completion.
- Installation & Supervision: Install low-voltage electrical systems while overseeing a team of technicians and subcontractors.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure efficient use of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain high workmanship standards, adhering to blueprints, specifications, and codes.
- Communication & Coordination: Work directly with inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and customers.
- Reporting & Documentation: Complete daily progress reports and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to identify primary colors and color variances.
Comfortable working at heights.
Capable of climbing ladders.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Able to work with hands above head.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience: 2+ years of construction management experience.
- Licensing & Certifications:
- Valid drivers license
- Ohio Fire Alarm License (required)
- OSHA 30 Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- NICET II or BICSI II (preferred)
Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in installing and maintaining low-voltage systems.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work efficiently and safely in a team environment.
Work Schedule
- Hours: Monday-Thursday, 10-hour days, day shift
