The Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining the assigned customers' regional relationships and business development, focusing on growing the business.

  • Manage, maintain, and service assigned current and potential customer base.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key account personnel and decision-makers through proactive outreach and meetings.
  • Prospect, establish, and nurture long-term customer relationships (Engineering and Purchasing) according to long-term strategy.
  • Effectively communicate customer objectives to the internal team to build a high customer focus throughout the business.
  • Manage customer-related projects through the business development cycle from initial concept to trial production.
  • Provide technical support and product training to customers as needed.
  • Prepare quotations and execute commercial negotiations in accordance with the company pricing policy.
  • Accurately forecast customer/market trends for annual sales planning.
  • Manage customer contracts, including pricing, minimum margin expectations, LTAs, and productivity agreements, and maintain expected financial results.
  • Monitor competitor threats and industry trends and communicate the information within internal teams.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, customer events, and supplier association events and organize technical reviews at customer sites to market company products.
  • Maintain good customer and internal relationships.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent people, communication, English (written and verbal), interpersonal, and negotiation skills, focusing on relationship building.
  • Efficiency using Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (mostly domestic).
  • Strong presentation skills with attention to detail.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of PPAP requirements and launch process within Automotive.
  • Experience with budgeting and strategic planning processes.
  • Motivated, Driven, and Disciplined with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.


  • 3 - 5 years minimum outside sales experience within a custom engineering manufacturing and fastener Distribution environment
  • Experience in outside sales with OEMs or Tier 1 Automotive/Truck/Trailer suppliers (OE)
